Ray and I are chugging readbulls and curning out some code (mostly ray with his wicked rails skills). If you want to checkout where we are so far you can visit http://readum.railsrumble.com/.

Disclaimer: we are still in extreme development mode so don’t freak if it doesn’t work.

I just love competition. Don’t You?

A fellow coder, Ray, and I have entered team El luchador’s into the RailsRumble. The competition lasts 48 hours and consists of 150 teams. Each team has a VPS and files will be tracked via SVN.

Our Project is called Readum. The app is all about providing syndicated audio content to its audience. The audio will be blog posts read by humans and presented in a podcast format. Users will be allowed to sign up and subscribe/listen to their favorite blogs.

I almost did last weekend. I wanted to, really, really badly.

We started the car shopping day at VW to test drive the eos. There we met a really cool guy, Mike Mason - Straight shooter, solid personality, and easy to work with.

Then we went to Nissan. The first two salesmen we met were really nice, then the manager wanted to set us up with their top 350z guy. So, he introduced us to Bruce “douchebag” Boisvert. He didn’t tell us anything about the car. He said .. “I’m going to get straight to the point, you guys drive it and when you come back, if you like it, i’ll work the numbers. Initially I was thinking cool, lets ride. So, we took the car out for a spin down the 95. Its a hell of a ride, and if you are in the market for a convertible, checkout the 350z, just don’t buy it from Douchebag Bruce.
